What exactly is the Maxwell-Gunter Spouses' Club (MGSC)?
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base families, base organizations and the local community, while providing spouses opportunities to meet, socialize and network with their peers. We are active duty and retired Air Force and Sister Service spouses who join together to strengthen our military community through social and charitable activities.
What is the purpose of the MGSC?
Our mission is to organize and sponsor educational, charitable, cultural, and social activities for our members.
How does the MGSC give back?
We support our military and civilian community through our annual scholarships program, charitable donations and works. The Maxwell Thrift Shop on Maxwell AFB is our main source of revenue to fund these programs. The thrift shop is always seeking donations, consignors and volunteers.
What kinds of functions and activities are available?
We host membership socials from September to May. These socials serve as opportunities for you to strengthen current friendships and make new ones.
In addition to our socials, we offer Special Activities Groups. Popular groups include Book Club, Bunco, Dance, Hiking, Lunch Bunch, and Wine Tasters! Your interests and ideas drive our Special Activities Groups. To get involved with these activities or to suggest a new one, please Contact Us.
You can also check out all of our events on our Calendar.
How can I get involved in the MGSC?
The best way to get involved is by becoming a member! Check out our Membership page to join now.
